We were celebrating National Bird Day at work, so I decided to pick up Blake as soon as school was out so he could play with our Activities Directors 3 birds. This is Paco who took a shine to Blake.

Surprise Visit

I surprised my parents and drove down to San Antonio this weekend. We had a wonderful time at an Art Show, which is where this picture was taken, riverboats on the riverwalk, dining out and Christmas shopping. Sunday morning I surprised Big Grandma, it was wonderful having a few hours alone with her before my parents came over for lunch. All in all, it was a perfect weekend.

Progress

So I've been updating by dining room which was stuck in the 90's with wine colored walls and dark furniture. I put in hard wood floors and painted the walls with a beautiful color from restoration hardware. I'm am trying to have a mix of new and old as I have a very eclectic style. I'm very happy with the progress so far but had to share my great find. This is a sideboard I found at a warehouse open to the public and think it looks just darling in the room. I am still working on lighting, artwork and a new rug to pull it all together. When complete, I will post before and after photos of the room.

Friday Night Out

This has been one busy summer, it seems we are always on the go, Friday night was no different. This was taken at Kaylan's B-day party at a mexican restaraunt in McKinney's historic downtown square.

What a fun night of fishing, we stayed out there till 1 a.m. The fish weren't really biting but I did catch this Catfish, I wish I could have taken a picture with me holding it but I just couldn't bare to touch it!

Blake has definately grown an attachment this trip, he looks at Susan like she hung the moon and wants to be near her all the time.

Riverwalk

Blake and I had lunch on the Riverwalk, nothing special just a little Sparro pizza from the food court at Rivercenter mall. It was the scenery and company that made it so nice.

My View at Big Grandma's Pool

Today we spent the day at "Big Grandmas". It started with a big breakfast of bacon and eggs, followed by a morning swim. Then Spaghetti for lunch and another swim. Just a great Lazy Sunday!

Couples Fiesta Dinner at the Club

Robbie played in the member/guest tournament this weekend at the club. They planned a Couples Fiesta Dinner for Saturday night which was so much fun. After dinner I challenged Coach Clay to a putting match and surprisingly I won by 2 strokes, the picture of us in front of the score board is after the match, since he is still smiling I guess I didn't damage his ego to bad.
