Arbor Nature Reserve

Had a wonderful picnic and walk through the Arbor Nature Reserve with my family today in Plano. The weather was perfect!

Uncle Julios

Another resident outing today, we had the best mexican food and a whole lot of "Margaritas"! There were 22 of us so we had to have 2 long tables. The best part was the company, I love my residents.

Spring is Here!

Today at work I was greeted with some brand new ducklings in our swimming pool. They were the cutest little things. Residents came all day long to sit and watch the new arrivals.

Resident Outing

Tonight after work, I took 19 residents to Whataburger. I would have felt sorry for anyone who was standing in line behind us since there were so many, but luckily no one else came in while we were all ordering. I love sharing my favorite fast food spot with them! Robbie and Blake surprised me and were waiting for us when we got there. I definatelty need to do more of this. I plan on taking them to Uncle Julios in a couple weeks, another one of my favorite Mexican food hotspots. I'll try to get some photos of that too.

Tubbs Ranch - Bluffdale, TX

This is where the annual "Bitch Party" takes place every year. I just got back, and I must say we had a great time, just what the Dr. ordered. There were probably around 80 women this year. Lots of Trailers, campers and tents set up. Friday night we danced in the barn until around 2 a.m. Saturday night we had a wearble art runway show followed by skits. I think I went to bed aound 3 a.m. that night, right after 8 women all cramed in one car and went on a secret mission to the guys camp where we hung a platex windchime/chandelier on their front porch. It was pitch black walking up the dirt road, we were almost given away by the dog, then we were scared by a couple of stray calves that came up behind us. (The whole heard ended up following) We all about peed in our pants from laughter, but we succeeded in our mission and were not caught.

I've been working in the yard this morning pulling weeds. Even though it is productive I should really be getting my stuff together and packing for my trip.

Christmas Eve

We got a little bit of the white stuff today, not something we see often in Texas. It was a Christmas Miracle.

My 10 Year Watch

Every employee at our company receives a watch at their 10 year mark at the holiday company party. This year was my turn since I hit mine June 1st. I can't believe it has been that long already. I have made lifetime friends while working there and learned a lot of life lessons through my senior residents. Everyone should experience what it is like to go to work and love your job, it makes life so much easier.

December Snow

It was so beautiful to drive into work with the snow falling down in Dallas. We don't get it too often and it didn't last long, but it was enough to stick to the ground and get you in the spirit of Xmas.

This has got to be my favorite costume of the night. And I know, it is out of focus, so sorry about that, but it still had to be posted.

Halloween 2009

Blake said this was his best Halloween ever. He loved the parade that his cousins neighborhood had. It really is a great concept, everyone in the neighborhood lines up on a street where the parents hand out candy and all the kids walk down the street in a parade like fashion showing off their costumes and gathering lots of candy. By doing this, no one is ringing your doorbell all night...pure genius. Her neighborhood reminds me of the good 'ol days, when everyone knew their neighbors, you are lucky to see anyone outside their house on my street, everyone just comes and goes from the alley so there is no chance encounters, sad.

Preston Place Halloween Carnival

This is me taking one for the team in the fight against Alzheimers. Preston Place has a carnival every year to raise money for this wonderful cause, and I let residents and staff throw pies in my face. It was a fun day for all who joined in the festivities. Madam Zelda made her famous appearance as well, with palm reading and Lipstick Fortunes.

Hi, my name is Stehle and I'm a Mac

So, my desktop was infected with a really bad virus and I was unable to do any blogging or work with my photos. Robbie realizing this was important to me decided to give me my Christmas present early. I now am the proud owner of a MacBook Pro. I love it. I have never had a laptop before but always wanted one, but the most excited thing is all that this computer can do. The iphoto alone is worth it. I can't wait for my next one on one lesson to get more familiar with the program.
