Mystery Illness

It's been a while since I have posted anything so I am going back a few months here. Our dog Sophie mysteriously got really sick, throwing up all the time so we took her to the vet and he right away said it sounded like there was an obstruction somewhere and that we needed to take an X-ray. From that, he knew there was something in her stomach to large to throw up and too large to pass, this meant surgery. We all waited anxiously as too see what it could be. As you have probably already guessed it was this plastic toy fly that she had swallowed. The Activities Director at my work had used these as decoration on cupcakes at Halloween last year and thought Blake might like one. This 25cent toy ended up costing me over $600. At any rate, the vet said he's taken a lot of things out of pets stomachs, but it was definitely a first to remove a fly and that the whole office got a good laugh out of it.
