A Night Out

When Robbie told me we were going out for dinner and dancing, I was all excited. I have to admit when I found out it was at the VFW I was a little taken back, but decided to just go with the flow. I found out it was the best kept secret around. Friday Nights they have a Steak Dinner for $10 (Fortunately, we had Uncle Julios before meeting everyone since I'm not a steak person, however, the plates of our friends were fully loaded and they said it was the best they ever had.) Anyway, They also have a band every friday night which I was blown away by how good they were. Since Robbie doesn't dance I was able to dance with one of the other men from the golf course, nice guy. He is a Health teacher and Track coach for Mckinney H.S. he was not in our picture for some reason. Pool was 50 cents a game and when Robbie went to the bar and got a bottle beer and a Rita for me and the total was $5.75 I couldn't believe it. Juke Box was 5 songs for a dollar. I impressed with my pool shark skills, no one expected I could hit it in the pocket solid especially with the stick wrapped around behind my back. Not saying I got it everytime, but I held my own. Anyway, this night will provide laughter and jokes for years to come I'm sure.
